Meet the Team.
Cody Beauchamp grew up in Navarro County, Texas. He graduated from Washington & Lee University, he got his law degree from the American University Washington College of Law.
Cody started his practice as one of the late R. Lowell Thompson’s Assistant District Attorneys. In 2016, Cody was appointed to serve the remainder of an unexpired term as the City of Corsicana’s Municipal Judge. He has since been reelected multiple times in his own right. He also represents criminal defendants in cases that do not conflict with his judicial duties.
Cody is active in the community. He has taught paralegal classes at Navarro College. Additionally, he is serving or has served on the boards of directors for the United Way of Navarro County (Board President, 2020), Habitat for Humanity of Navarro County (Board Vice President, 2019), the North Texas Behavioral Health Authority, the North Central Texas Council of Governments Criminal Justice Policy Development Committee, the Warehouse Living Arts Center, and the Navarro County Early Childhood Coalition. He has also been lecturer for the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center.
Kathleen “Katie” Cameron is a sixth-generation Navarro County resident. She has worked as an investigator for the State of Texas’s Adult Protective Services division, and as a probation officer for Ellis County.
She graduated from Sam Houston State University. She later earned her law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law (Gig ‘em!).
Over the course of her career, she has worked at the Navarro County District Attorney’s Office and the Office of State Counsel for Offenders. She has tried some of the most difficult cases an attorney can try in dozens of counties across Texas.
Katie is an alumna of the Future Indigent Defense Leaders Project, Gideon’s Promise, and an active member of the Texas Bar College, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Navarro County Bar Association, and the Navarro County Defense Lawyers Association. Is a past Secretary of the Navarro County Criminal Defense Bar Association and a board member of the UCF Wesley Foundation at Navarro College.
